January 7, 2010: Judi Lund Person – schedule for her visit

Judi Lund Person, MPH, Vice President, Regulatory and State Leadership from NHPCO is visiting Honolulu from Washington DC. Judi has generously offered to spend all day with us and will address different audiences.

She will be speaking on January 7 with hospice and long term care leaders in the morning and evening and meeting with hospice and palliative care leaders in the afternoon. Please join us for your chance to ask and learn from a national expert who has worked for more than 20 years in this field.

9-11am – Long Term Care and Hospice.

3-5pm – Hospice and Palliative Care

Update on national issues.  This is a unique chance for us in Hawaii to learn about the issues currently being discussed in Washington and around the country as well as look to the future.  If you have questions you’d like Judi to cover, please send them along with your RSVP to Jeannette Koijane ahead of time.  She will be making a PowerPoint presentation and have time for questions as well.

5:30-7pm – Local Chapter of American Medical Directors Association

Judi is the featured guest speaker. The goal of this meeting is to understand and ask questions about regulations, policies, and best practices between hospices and nursing homes.  It is a great networking opportunity for Hawaii’slong term care providers and hospices.
