Kokua Mau is recruiting additional Board Members

Kōkua Mau is currently recruiting for board members and we hope that you will consider lending your expertise to our dynamic organization.

Kōkua Mau is at the forefront of a social movement to improve care for people with serious illness and their loved ones, including end-of-life care.  We would like to increase the diversity of the board to expand our reach and impact.  We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in home health, long-term care, legal issues, fund development, strategic planning, business, spiritual issues and general advocacy.  If you have a passion for this work and would like to play a role in strengthening the continuum of care, please contact us.

Kauai Hospice Seeking Medical Director

(posted May 2018) Kaua‘i Hospice is looking for a full time Medical Director to join our dynamic team. For 35 years, we have served as the island’s only Medicare certified and CHAP accredited hospice providing the highest level of care to enhance the quality of life and maintain the integrity of individuals and their families facing serious and life-limiting illness.

The Medical Director is an essential member of Senior Leadership who will be instrumental in leading Kaua‘i Hospice in its continued development of innovative responses to specific palliative and end-of-life care challenges in the areas of patient preferences, patient and family experience, and quality of patient care. The ideal candidate will bring the experience, skills, vision, and desire to pursue developing community- based palliative/supportive care services. Additionally, the Medical Director will be adept at working in an environment that creates partnerships, builds alliances, and leverages existing relationships.
