Transformation: Enhancing care; Containing cost; Maximizing satisfaction
November 10, 20011: An educational summit hosted by Kokua Mau – Hawaii Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
Date: Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011
Time: 8:30 am to 5 pm (Registration opens at 7:45am)
Location: The Queen’s Conference Center (yes, still held there!)
We found two all-day parking options near the Queen’s Conference Center: Please download the PDF file for full details and a map. There are 30 spots at Harris Methodist Church on Vineyard but you must RSVP to April at amoses@bristolhospice.org. When these spots are taken, you can park at Restaurant Row, 5th floor and have the attendant stamp your ticket. Both sites are about 15 minutes walk.
This is a general file of parking structures near Queen’s, but none of them include all-day options.
All-day parking options are limited downtown on a weekday, so you are encouraged to carpool and/or use public transportation. Queen’s is centrally located and easily accessible by bus, just get off at DOH.
Please note that there will be no validation for the Educational Summit if you park in the Queen’s parking lot (careful: it costs $30 to park there all day!)
Traffic Advisory: The Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be holding its meetings in Honolulu during this time and people are encouraged to AVOID Waikiki.
- Please allow extra time to accommodate heightened traffic and street closures en route to the conference.
- Please check for updated traffic advisories: www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2011/10/175912.htm
