Oncology on Canvas 2019 second day

It is this time of the year again and we will celebrate Oncology on Canvas! A time to get together and use art to express our unique oncology journey. The most important is that you show up and use the art supplies creatively. If you can please call and register to help them make sure there will be enough food and art supplies and all events, but everyone is welcome, registered or not.

Oncology on Canvas helps people living with cancer and those that love and care for them to cope with disease through art. No previous art experience is needed, there are no age restrictions and everyone is welcome!!

Tripler Army Medical Center
10th floor, Oceanside

Please make sure you have a valid drivers license and a current car registration and insurance card to enter the base at Tripler. After passing the guard post drive all the way up the hill and park in the big parking lot next to Tripler.

Please RSV via email to Pat Nishimoto an email if you will be able to come and how many of your family/friends will be able to attend so she can make sure we have LOTS of food and supplies. Feel free to come for an hour, a day or both days! Whatever works for your schedule.

Guest artists will be attending. Short program to include hula and songs by survivors.

Art Therapy provides a way for cancer patients and their loved ones to express unspoken and often unconscious concerns about their illness and their life. We’ve assembled a group of art instructors, student volunteers and staff to help participants express their personal journey on canvas. Art supplies will be provided for the day of the event.
