Kokua Mau Monthly Meeting October 2018

Please join us for our monthly meeting, to learn, laugh, mingle and network.

October Kokua Mau meeting on November 1st:

The October meeting will now be held on November 1. The topic is “A Caring Community: Jewish Rituals for End of Life” and the presenters will be Rabbi Ken Aronowitz and Alice Lachman.

Rabbi Ken Aronowitz is the Rabbi at Temple Emanu-El.  Helping others feel closer to the Shechina or Divine Presence, serving God and creating a Kehillah Kedoshah (a sacred community) continue to be the focus of Ken’s rabbinate.

Dr. Alice Wahl Lachman is an educator who has helped initiate an inter-congregational Chevra Kadisha (sacred society) to honor Jewish rituals related to death and dying.
