HSCO Medical Aid in Dying Workshop
January 19 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 am
Hosted by the Hawai‘i Society of Clinical Oncology (HSCO) you are invited to a Medical Aid in Dying Workshop.
On April 5, 2018, Governor David Ige signed the Hawaii Our Care, Our Choice Act into law—allowing mentally capable, terminally ill adults with six months or less to live to request medical aid-in-dying medication from their doctor which they self-administer if their suffering becomes unbearable, to bring about a peaceful death.
Attend our workshop to gain a deeper understanding of how this law, effective starting Tuesday, January 1, 2019, will impact your cancer practice, patient safety, and physician accountability.
