In this second webinar, you’ll learn about Med-QUEST benefit and eligibility criteria with qualifying conditions, assessment tools and services provided from the perspective of a provider, with a case study. In the second part Reimbursement Under the Community Palliative Care Benefit you will learn about the road map and the nuts and bolts of qualifying conditions, covered services, contracting requirements and the billing codes of the reimbursement process.

Speakers: 

Toby Smith Medical Director for Supportive Care and Medical Management at HMSA, Geriatrician and Palliative Care Physician in skilled nursing facilities in Hawaiʻi. Dr. Smith is ABIM board certified in Geriatrics, Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Internal Medicine.

Torrie Fields, MPH, CEO of TFA Analytics, was instrumental in the creation of the benefit and is now working on implementation. She serves as strategic advisor to the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC), the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC), and the Hawaii Department of Human Services, Med-QUEST Division.

A 45-minute presentation will be followed by a live, interactive 15-minute Q&A session.
