DESCRIPTION:The last Kōkua Mau meeting of the year will be a combination of a presentation and Holiday party on: \n\n\n\nThursday\, December 5.  \n\n\n\nJoin us at our last Kōkua Mau meeting of 2019.  \n\n\n\nOur meeting will include a discussion with Cortney Gusick of Pahiki  Caskets\, a local eco-conscious alternative using reclaimed local wood.  “Pahiki believes deeply in curbing the heavy carbon footprint of  importing caskets by the thousands each year\, as well as providing a  more culturally resonate option to care for the land in death as we do  in life.” You can view a beautiful hand-crafted casket up close and  learn about eco-friendly options made in Hawai‘i.  \n\n\n\nBring a dish to share\, this is our last Kōkua Mau meeting to network and socialize before 2020. \n\n\n\nThur. Map on our website. \n\n\n\nTake the first right on the Pali Highway after the merge with the H1 \nturn-off. Take a right on Lusitania and the driveway into the temple \ncampus is to your right. There is a second entrance on the makai side\, \nright after the bus stop\, if you missed it. \n\n\n\nWe are grateful for the temple to invite us and host our meetings.

DESCRIPTION:This training by Kōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program is requested by and tailor made for Attorney General’s Office. (Not open to the public.) \n\n\n\nKōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program’s goal is to start and carry on the conversation in familiar settings\, breaking the ice to get people talking about uncomfortable but important topics. These conversations encourage and empower people to take action around their own health care wishes and our trained ambassadors allow participants to get answers to questions and understand decisions they may need to make.  \n\n\n\nThe Let’s Talk Story program encourages groups to have two sessions. The two- session approach ensures good opportunities for sharing information\, reflections\, questions and time to talk with loved ones in-between. The two-session model allows time to evaluate follow-up actions.
