SUMMARY:KM professional development training LTC Ombudsman
DESCRIPTION:Professionals Development Training\n\nThis training by Kōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program is requested by and tailor made for LTC Ombudsman. (Not open to the public.) \nKōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program’s goal is to start and carry on the conversation in familiar settings\, breaking the ice to get people talking about uncomfortable but important topics. These conversations encourage and empower people to take action around their own health care wishes and our trained ambassadors allow participants to get answers to questions and understand decisions they may need to make. \nThe Let’s Talk Story program encourages groups to have two sessions. The two- session approach ensures good opportunities for sharing information\, reflections\, questions and time to talk with loved ones in-between. The two-session model allows time to evaluate follow-up actions.

(Not open to the public.) \nTake Charge of Your Future – NOW\nLunch & Learn Series Advance Care Directives 101\n\nIf the unexpected happens\, who would speak for you?\n\nYou may have heard about Advance Care Directives\, but may not know where to begin. Advance Care Planning is now a benefit for all EUTF members. \nIn this information-packed session\, led by Kokua Mau\, you’ll learn why it’s important for every adult to have an Advance Care Directive. HMSA and Kaiser Permanente will be on-site to answer your questions about this plan benefit. \nKōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program’s goal is to start and carry on the conversation in familiar settings\, breaking the ice to get people talking about uncomfortable but important topics. \n\ndownload the flyer: Advanced-Care Planning-InfoSession8-30-2019-with-Kōkua-Mau
