DESCRIPTION:Let’s celebrate Oncology on Canvas Exhibit at Honolulu Hale!\nA time to get together and use art to express our unique oncology journey. Oncology on Canvas helps people living with cancer and those that love and care for them to cope with disease through art. No previous art experience is needed\, there are no age restrictions and everyone was welcome. Some of the art works are on display at the Honolulu Hale exhibit. \nReception at Honolulu Hale (City Hall)\nTuesday\,  May 7\n4-6 pm \nArt from the Oncology on Canvas workshops at Queens\, Kaiser\, Kapiolani and Tripler will be exhibited at Honolulu Hale from May 6 to 22.\n \nGuest artists will be attending the reception. Short program to include hula and songs by survivors. \nArt Therapy provides a way for cancer patients and their loved ones to express unspoken and often unconscious concerns about their illness and their life. We’ve assembled a group of art instructors\, student volunteers and staff to help participants express their personal journey on canvas. Art supplies will be provided for the day of the event.
