SUMMARY:KM Presentation Pearl City Lions
DESCRIPTION:Community Presentations\nThis is a community presentation requested by and tailor made for Pearl City Lions. (Not open to the public). \nKōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program’s goal is to start and carry on the conversation in familiar settings\, breaking the ice to get people talking about uncomfortable but important topics. These conversations encourage and empower people to take action around their own health care wishes and our trained ambassadors allow participants to get answers to questions and understand decisions they may need to make. \nThe Let’s Talk Story program encourages groups to have two sessions. The two- session approach ensures good opportunities for sharing information\, reflections\, questions and time to talk with loved ones in-between. The two-session model allows time to evaluate follow-up actions.

SUMMARY:No Kokua Mau Meeting August 2018
DESCRIPTION:We will not be meeting in August for the summer break but please save September 27 for our next meeting. \nNext Kōkua Mau Meeting:\nThurs. Sept 27\, 2018\n3pm-5pm \nAmong other topics\, in September we will be brainstorming about how to use Art to get conversations about death and celebrating life going in Hawai‘i. We are planning to follow in the footsteps of Re-Imagine New York and Re-Imagine San Francisco. If you are interested in being on our committees\, please contact Jeannette. \nKōkua Mau is looking for a new space to hold our monthly meetings. We have between 20-40 people in each meeting and need a space where we can show slides and that has easy parking. Not only would you be helping out Kōkua Mau\, it is a great chance to see the amazing people of our network and get easy access to the excellent speakers. Contact Jeannette with your suggestions!\nMany thanks to St. Francis for hosting for many years but their campus renovations means the meeting rooms are no longer available.
