DESCRIPTION:With our Let’s Talk Story Program we want to meet people where they work\, play or pray. \n\n\n\nWe are happy to announce that in collaboration with the Hawaii Catholic Conference we are participating in their 11 trainings on all islands about the importance of the conversation and Advance Health Care Directives as well as the benefits of hospice and palliative care. These events are the culmination of months of planning and collaboration with Fr. Mark Gantley\, Eva Andrade and Kokua Mau’s own Joy Yadao. \n\n\n\nAll sessions are open to the public for all adults\, age 18 and older. Join us at our booth and check out all of our materials and find out how we can help you.  \n\n\n\nSaturday Nov 239 am to 3 PMMayor’s Craft FairBlaisdell Center \n\n\n\nKōkua Mau’s Let’s Talk Story Program’s goal is to start and carry on the conversation in familiar settings\, breaking the ice to get people talking about uncomfortable but important topics. These conversations encourage and empower people to take action around their own health care wishes and our trained ambassadors allow participants to get answers to questions and understand decisions they may need to make. \n\n\n\nThe Let’s Talk Story program encourages groups to have two sessions. The two- session approach ensures good opportunities for sharing information\, reflections\, questions and time to talk with loved ones in-between. The two-session model allows time to evaluate follow-up actions.
