The speaker for the meeting is Pastor Kekapa Lee. His talk is titled, “One Hawaiian’s Perspective on Dying, Death, and Grieving.”
Pastor Kekapa Lee is a graduate of University of Hawai‘I Hilo with a Bachelor’s Degree and received his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.
From 1980-1987, he served as staff with the Hawai‘i Conference United Church of Christ. He was called to be the Pastor for Waiola Church in Maui from 1987-1999. He also served as the Papa Makua of the Association of Hawaiian Evangelical Churches (AHEC) and the State Council of Hawaiian Congregational Churches from 1999-2003. From 2004-2006, he served as Temporary Pastor of Lili‘uokalani Protestant Church.
In January, 2010, Pastor Kekapa Lee accepted a call to be the Senior Pastor of the First Chinese Church of Christ in Hawai‘i (TFCCCH) which followed a period from August, 2008, as the Acting English Pastor and Acting Senior Pastor at TFCCCH.
