Imagine 2030… Mobilizing Our Communities Across Generations
Take advantage of the early bird registration – EARLY BIRD DEADLINE: August 22, 2014
Imagine 2030… what will Hawaii look like as we are getting older as a society? There will be 369,000 adults aged 65 and over—150% of its current size—whom will constitute 23% of the total population (currently 17%).
The number of people aged 85 and over will double to 59,000. Most adults prefer to stay in their home of choice as they age. What will a community supportive of purposeful aging in place look like? How do we get there?
The 2014 Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society Conference focuses on sharing best work in practice or research in the Concurrent Sessions. We are interested in presentations that address the conference theme: Imagine 2030…Mobilizing our Communities Across Generations.
